Danphibian Iťs hard to articulate how incredible this album truly is, and words will never do it justice anyway. you really have to experience it for yourself. I had a profound transcendental experience listening to this. A musical journey that rivals that of prog rock epics of the 70's. This thing is filled noisened black metal riffs of pure hate that I could feel in my veins as well as some of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard. it all flows together perfectly like a stream of pure emotion flowing through your ears and into your brain. the inclusion of field recordings and unrelenting yet peaceful drones make this a very diverse listen. I really can't recommend this enough. Big Frog has a huge and diverse discography and iťs all quality stuff. An artistic genius. Thank you Big Frog for putting this in my ears!!! Favorite track: Of The Canebrake (Aplastodiscus).

about

Hatched by Hypyractyv Larynx Wartquencies

The protuberance that sits on my neck was contemplating and wondering what to write for this, but it seems difficult to put into words. All I can think about is them mutilating me slowly. It's one of my most craved fantasies and I wish it would actually happen to me someday.

I will type that this is meant to be listened to all the way through in one sitting, but we all know no one cares. So do what your frivolous topmost region pleases. Going through this was very affecting and surreal for me. What you do with it is none of my concern.

The field recording was captured on a very wet and damp night after a storm. The two most prominent voices that are heard are those of Spring Peepers (Pseudacris crucifer) and Spadefoots (Scaphiopus holbrookii). There were various other Amphibians making calls as well, but the two mentioned dominated in volume.

I have many recordings from which I placed the recorder within the center of where the Amphibians were making calls, but I decided to use a recording that was further away for this. The recordings from further away create this immense wall of ambient sound that fills the space stunningly.

No synths or keyboards were used during this recording.

So if you happen to find me face down, being gnawed, in a shallow pool of murky water covered in green algae, let them do it. Let them gnaw me apart, because I love it.
